Anna Gable Mackie

LPN, WCC, AWCC

Anna has 28 years of healthcare experience with a primary focus on wound care. Throughout the last 16 years she has worked in various healthcare settings for medical device companies as a Wound Care Consultant/Clinical Specialist/ Director of Clinical Operations. She acquired extensive experience in Negative Pressure Wound Therapy program development while working with the manufacturer of Prospera-NPWT. She has presented to and trained physician, WOCNs and other healthcare professionals on the proper use and management of NPWT throughout the full continuum of care.

She served as a lead clinician for NPWT product evaluation sites at a multitude of healthcare systems across the US resulting in securing new business. She was also part of a team that was responsible for the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies which increased the utilization of Prospera-NPWT in the wound care market. Anna is a dynamic and seasoned educator on Negative Pressure Wound Therapy and Enteric Fistula Management. She has presented at a national, regional, state and local level.

Anna founded Nurse-Owned Healing Solutions, LLC in 2015. Her company provides NPWT equipment and serves as an NPWT educational resource to long term care facilities throughout the Southeast. Her focus is to provide a scientific, evidence based educational platform, rather than a singular NPWT product focus, allowing healthcare professionals to expand their knowledge base of NPWT, which improves the efficiency of the therapy, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

Heather Hettrick

Dr. Heather Hettrick

PT, PhD, CWS, CLT, CLWT, AWCC

Dr. Heather Hettrick is a Professor in the Physical Therapy Program at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Dr. Hettrick has been a licensed physical therapist since 1995. She received her PhD in physical therapy in 2003 and has dedicated her entire professional career to integumentary function and dysfunction, becoming a key opinion leader on integumentary function, repair and regeneration, as well as wound, lymphedema and burn management. 

Dr. Hettrick’s diverse clinical background is complemented by experience in research, professional writing and publication, speaking on the national and international circuit, volunteering on professional board organizations, consulting, lobbying for legislative change on Capitol Hill, organizing humanitarian work in Haiti, and creating entrepreneurial endeavors focusing on experiential learning. She is a Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), and internationally dual certified in Lymphedema and Wound Care (CLWT). She is LANA credentialed by the Lymphology Association of North America. Dr. Hettrick is also a Comprehensive Oncology Rehabilitation Expert (CORE) and Experiential Learning Fellow. She has attended over 80 continuing education courses, authored over 25 journal articles, published 5 book chapters, and presented over 150 professional programs and conference presentations on various integumentary related topics. 

Dr. Hettrick is a Past President of the American Board of Wound Management and is a past Board and Executive Committee member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care. She is currently on the board of the World Alliance of Wound and Lymphedema Care, advisory board for the Why Wound Care Campaign and Editorial Board for Today’s Wound Clinic. Additionally, she is on the planning committee for the American Vein and Lymphatic Society and Faculty and Director of Wound Education for the International Lymphedema and Wound Training Institute.

Hali McCravy

Hali McCravy

RN, BSN, WCC, OMS, DWC, AWCC

As an RN, Hali has over 21 years experience in wound care beginning in the Burn ICU at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. During her career, she has worked as a charge nurse in wound clinics, consulted with attorneys, authored papers and a book, and instructed wound care classes. Her previous experience in the entertainment industry combined with her knowledge in wound care makes her teaching style unique with fun and flair.

Cindy Bailey

During Cindy’s 20+ year career in nursing, she has worked in a wound clinic, sold NPWT, advanced wound dressings, positioning devices, lymphedema pumps and support surfaces in hospitals, burn OR’s and wound care clinics, home care, LTAC’s and nursing facilities.Cindy has been the clinical wound care specialist for two manufacturing companies. One that manufactures support surfaces and the other a textile company that manufactures advanced wound care textiles. Throughout Cindy’s career high quality education of the clinicians utilizing her products has been paramount. Cindy has a passion for spreading her wound care knowledge to other clinicians to improve their patients lives.

Frank Aviles

Frank Aviles

PT, CWS, FACCWS, CLT, AWCC, MLD/CDT Instructor

Frank received his Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University in 1991, his Certified Wound Specialist through the American Academy of Wound Management and his Certified Lymphedema Therapist designation from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. Currently he is the Wound Care Service Line Director overseeing and providing guidance to wound care clinicians throughout the continuum of care. Since graduation, Frank’s passion has allowed him to lecture at the academic level, nationally, and internationally on topics related to wound care & lymphedema. Frank has been a member of the APTA since 1990 & serves as the APTA Wound Management Section practice chair, continues to publish articles, and is on the Editorial Board for Today’s Wound Clinic.

Cynthia Sylvia

Dr. Cynthia Sylvia D

NURS, MSc, MA, RN, CWCN

Cynthia is a thought leader in professional relations and knowledge management of wound healing, pressure injury/ulcer prevention, patient and caregiver safety, support surface allocation, evidence-based practice and the medical device industry. With a clinical nursing specialty as a Certified Wound Care Nurse; she is a qualitative researcher, published author and international speaker. As a facilitator of two Consensus Development Initiatives on the Prevention of Pressure Injuries, she has generated multiple global publications and presentations. Her passion lies in being the Voice of Nursing in the transfer of knowledge to the bedside, writing and editing of manuscripts, oversight of human subject clinical studies, expert opinion on quality improvement, risk management and standardization of support surfaces. Cynthia has a broad range of clinical experience with roles in acute and home care and clinical science management in the medical device industry that includes years of service on the Corporate Advisory Council of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, in addition to being a founding member of the Support Surface Standards Initiative. Her educational background includes a Master of Arts in Health Promotion Counseling and a Master of Science in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair at Cardiff University in Wales where she was awarded her Doctorate in Nursing.

Jeff Lehrman

Dr. Jeff Lehrman

DPM, FASPS, MAPWCA, CPC

Dr. Lehrman is in private practice just outside Philadelphia and is the Medical Director at the Crozer Wound Healing Center. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and is recognized as a “Master” by the American Professional Wound Care Association. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management and an Expert Panelist on Codingline. In his role as a Consultant to the APMA Health Policy and Practice Department.

Dr. Lehrman serves as an advisor to the APMA Coding Committee and the APMA MACRA Task Force. Dr. Lehrman sits on the board of directors of both the American Professional Wound Care Association and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. He is an adjunct clinical professor at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and trains surgical residents and medical students at his hospital system. Dr. Lehrman is also on the editorial advisory board of the journal WOUNDS and is a consulting editor for Podiatry Management magazine.

Michael Warshaw

Michael G. Warshaw, DPM, CPC is a practicing podiatrist and a Certified Professional Coder with over 25 years of successful coding, management, and training experience for podiatric Practices. His local and national views come from active participation as a practicing podiatrist, having the distinction of being a Certified Professional Coder, and years of serving as a national lecturer concerning coding issues. Dr. Warshaw’s experience is unique and comprehensive. He has had the additional advantage of participating in all facets of the Medicare Appeals Process, including Redeterminations, Reconsiderations, and Administrative Law Judge Hearings, as well as the appeals processes of most commercial insurance companies and state Medicaid programs. Dr. Warshaw has also served as an expert witness in the actual court system, at both the federal and state levels. This unique perspective provides Dr. Warshaw with the ability to provide solutions to insurance and coding problems from real world experience. Dr. Warshaw is committed to assist practices in learning to code appropriately, obtain the proper reimbursement, and to avoid the wrath of the carriers by coding and billing in an appropriate fashion.

Since 2004, Dr. Michele Carr has worked in the home health and hospice setting-with a focus in the areas of wound care, nutrition, and OASIS. Her passion and joy has been to educate thousands of clinicians across the nation and enable them with the tools they need to better serve their patients. Over the past several years, her expertise has been recognized in this area and she has been invited to speak at many state and national conferences including SAWC-PAC and WOW. Her unique experience as a practicing clinician, educator of clinical staff, and now consultant to industry gives her a relevant and unique perspective to the ever-changing home health and hospice market.

Dolly Greene is an RN with her BSN and board certified in infection control and prevention with 27 years of experience in the field. She is the Co-owner and lead instructor of Infection Prevention & Control Resources which provides intense training classes for caregivers around the country. Dolly is the former Chair, current Author and faculty member for APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Prevention & Control). She is the Recipient of the (SHEA) Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America Advanced Practice IP Award and many other awards and inductions.

Mace Horoff has been involved in the world of healthcare sales for over 38 years as a front line sales person, sales manager, workshop facilitator, keynote speaker and author. Over the last 15 years he has delivered presentations and workshops for healthcare companies of all sizes from those in the Fortune 500 to smaller distributors that sell products and services to include capital equipment, pharmaceuticals, biologics, surgical implants, spine, trauma, cardiovascular, dental, healthcare services and more. He is the author of “Mastering Medical Sales” and the creator of Medical Sales Academy, an online training and support platform for healthcare sales professionals. He also hosts The Medical Sales Channel on YouTube and The Medical Sales Guru Podcast that is available on iTunes.

Cathy oversees Net Health 360 Professional Services for Wound Care. Cathy gained expertise in various acute care, long-term care, sub-acute care facilities, home-health agencies, and outpatient wound care department settings. With over 30 years of experience in Wound Care, she’s been engaged to share her command of knowledge in the industry with manufacturers (including biotechnology firms), product suppliers, insurers, law firms, and governmental agencies. She is the author of The Clinical Wound Manager™ Manual Series, Clinical Guide to Skin and Wound Care – Seventh Edition (also translated into Italian and Portuguese). She is the creator of both the Wound Care Strategies (WCS) Documentation System and TPS EMR.

Cathy serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for Advances in Skin and Wound Care, authoring the monthly “Practice Points” column, as well as the board of Today’s Wound Clinic. She is an expert witness for the Office of the Inspector General, past Board Member and Marketing Chair for the Wound, Continence, and Ostomy Certification Board, has appeared in several educational videos, authored over 100 journal articles, and is a sought after national and international speaker. In 2002 she was cited as one of the Best 50 Women in Business by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

Josh Heuchan

Josh Heuchan

Josh holds the distinction of being personally involved in the hiring of more wound care industry professionals that anyone in the US over the last two decades, placing well over a thousand executives into the sector during that time. From 2001 – 2018, he served as founder and CEO of Artillery Sales and FloodGate Medical where he helped medical manufacturers, many of whom where from the wound care space, build out dynamic talent acquisition and retention programs for their commercial and clinical teams. He feels that he was called to serve and support the wound care industry very early on in his career. Josh sits on several boards and enjoys giving back what others have so freely poured into his life. He enjoys spending time with his small group, hiking, mountain biking, surfing, fishing, golfing, diving, spear fishing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, cycling, pickleball, camping and traveling with his family and friends.

Robert Crousore

Robert Crousore

Robert has lived his entire work life in and around the wound care industry. He has founded and sold a number of Companies that served the healthcare space, each with a significant focus in wound care products and/or services. Robert serves as the President of Healiant Staffing, a clinical staffing solutions Company with a passion and focus on providing exceptional wound care clinicians to both Providers and Industry partners. He has a passion for helping the frail and wounded, and believes that all patients can heal with the right solution and clinical advocate. He enjoys mentoring young entrepreneurs and sits on the Advisory Boards, helping other Companies with their strategic and cultural growth. When not at work, Robert enjoys travel with his wife of 25 years and adult children, hunting anywhere off the grid, playing basketball and hockey, and investing himself in helping as many others as possible.

Ryan became interested in caring for patients as a Physician Assistant with the goal of extending the hands of physicians and providing care in underserved areas. His passion for sports as an NCAA athlete and Olympic hopeful made sports medicine a natural fit. In 2011, he was introduced to skilled nursing wound care and felt a unique calling to provide specialty care in an often underserved area. The love for this work and increasing demand sparked the idea of starting United Wound Healing, and eventually his role as CEO led to full-time leadership and administration. He still volunteers at several local high schools providing sports medicine coverage. Ryan’s interests include spending time with his wife and their twin sons, physical fitness and exercise, and the outdoors including hiking and fly fishing.
